'Pocket potager' show garden

The Brief:
A Creative Cube show garden for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2025, designed around the theme of colour harmony.

The Concept:
The 'pocket potager' demonstrates how the smallest footprints - like an unused driveway or front garden - can transform into beautiful, productive spaces. This low-impact garden blends ornamental and edible planting to offer a year-round harvest of homegrown cut flowers, herbs, and fruit. Crafted entirely from natural and reclaimed materials, the design features handcrafted willow planters with a grapevine trained into a lush overhead canopy, alongside bespoke chestnut hurdles supporting fruit and roses. Answering the theme of colour harmony, the palette pairs the glaucous, muted green of productive vegetables with complementary tones of soft pink, cream, and white.
