Country garden

The Brief:
To design a low-intervention, low-maintenance family landscape across a 4-acre Cotswold estate. The scheme integrates a large natural lake, an orchard, and wildflower meadows, prioritizing native and near-native species.

The Concept:
Inspired by the surrounding landscape, this pastoral design uses lavender, ornamental grasses, and productive trees to create a natural rhythm and flow. Near the house, new family zones emerge: a shaded dining terrace, a rose garden, and a fire pit crafted from local stone. Moving toward the water, the domestic gardens seamlessly dissolve into the wild landscape, using a minimalist palette that invites new ways to engage with the lake.
